Monday, July 19:
We went to Woodland Park Zoo to see animals and aminals.
Here is the wild carousel in its natural habitat.
Hey! You in front! You are not a penguin; go away, you're not fooling anyone!
You are also not a penguin; you're not even trying, are you?
I think this is a dikdik or something.
The majestic godzi-- sorry, gorilla.
The sloth bear is odd; it has long shaggy ears, making it look like a dog.
I originally misread this sign...
More like, how much SLEEP does a snow leopard need, am I right?
Mr. Fu feeding birds. At first there was a really pretty colorful little bird perched on his hand, but when I was trying to photograph it, this bigger bird bullied its way into the shot and scared off the little one. "That's not okay, what you just did," Mr. Fu told it.
Jon feeds a nice colorful fella.
The bully bird worked its way up Mr. Fu's arm and shoulder, pausing every now and then to try to eat a skin mole. It was eventually scared off by me trying to photograph it trying to painfully bite a mole off Mr. Fu's neck.
Every time you plane a piece of wood, the shavings go to keep this wallaby comfy.
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he.
White wolf in the distance. I love my camera's 10x zoom capability.
Uh-oh, there's that bear again.
Arctic fox. Okay, I cheated. This is the photo on the display in front of the enclosure. I never saw the actual arctic fox.
People playing Arkham Horror. Mr. Fu played Michael McGlen, a gangster who rents a room at Ma's Boarding House. "Michael, What are all these dead monsters doing in the basement?" "SHADDUP, MA!"
Ooo, check it out: art of Teleia I haven't put up yet! I plan to color this first.
For dinner, we went to Himitsu Teriyaki, where you get complimentary "soup". Yeaaah, that's what it is... "soup". Yeah.
