The Glazorthian Alphabet and Writing System

This is a "deliberately cheesy-looking" yet intricate and exotic alien language I invented. I used it in this 4-page cartoon. It is intended as a semi-serious project; a real, functional language that can actually be used to communicate, but nevertheless sounds like something out of a cartoon. Its main inspirations are Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", Matt Groening's "Futurama", and a few places in Douglas Hofstadter's "Metamagical Themas" where a silly-sounding fictional Martian language pops up.

Like all conlangs (constructed languages), this language and these accompanying pages are constantly under construction, and major features of the language may change overnight.
