There are certain suffixes that may be added to the allative, locative and ablative cases to modify their meanings:

Thus, we have the following sets of endings (and note that for locative, the -IX part is optional:

How to add a suffix that begins with a vowel to a noun that ends with a vowel

Short vowels: Nouns that end with short vowels are rare, but there are a few.

à - change à to â
è - change è to ê
ì - change ì to ê
ù - change ù to û

Long vowels:

â - no change
ê - no change
î - no change
ô - + ô = ôlô. + ì: no change.
û - no change

R-vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur) - no change.
