THE ORACLE.

THE ORACLE was this decorative stained-glass dome thingy in the Garden Court, the big open space beyond the elevators. MFM attendees were given free use of the Garden Court, with several tables set up for gaming, sketching, eating, or just hanging out. It was also where the Fursuit Olympics, the Thank You dinner, the ice cream social and the Match Game were held. (We were told beforehand that we'd have to give up the Garden Court on Saturday night to a wedding ceremony, but we didn't have to, apparently because the couple broke up. Awww, too bad. Well, not for us...) :}

This picture of the Garden Court shows where the Forbidden Zone was: the black curtains along the left and back hide the rooms commandeered by Homeland Security for training airport employees in the new (and probably just as useless) security procedures. Anyone caught behind those curtains would have been charged with trespassing on federal property and subject to severe fines and possibly jail time.

This is also approximately how the Garden Court looks from lobby level, by the elevators... the lobby of the building is on the third floor for some reason.

The Garden Court.
