Panel 2: I forgot their names when I was drawing the diary, but the documentary was created by Stephen and Suzie Lackey. Also, the full title is "Fans and Freaks: The Culture of Comics and Conventions".
Panel 3: See the rock-encrusted formation on the right? That used to be used as a waterfall, but is now basically a five-story-high planter. It also resembles a gigantic chimney (with no fireplace), which is oddly appropriate, considering that it houses the elevators, which late in the day can get as hot as a fireplace!
Panels 5, 6: This diary was finished in a few days, unlike the excruciatingly slow pace of the Anthrocon 2002 diary. I'm putting the AC diary on hiatus, and I'll pick it up again soon, and we'll see if I can carry some of this "bang it out quick" energy over and get the AC diary done before Midwest Furfest.
